Opt-in for notifications on your mobile device

Push notifications are alerts and information that you receive on your mobile device when your child disobeys the house rules. So, you can act quickly on the child's activity and keep them safe.
You need to install the Norton Family app for parents to get the push notifications. Use the information below to opt-in or opt-out of push notifications, and also choose the type of notifications that you want to receive.

List of activities that are considered under critical notifications:

• Child meddles with device time and other settings.

• Child requests access to a blocked website.

• Child unlocks the device using PIN during the curfew or when Instant Lock is in force.

• Norton Family stopped working, or child uninstalls it on their device.

• Child has accessed the device during the curfew.

• Child arrives or leaves a favorite location.

• Child installs apps on their device.

List of activities that are considered under other notifications:

• Child visits a blocked website.

• Child uninstalls an app on their mobile device

Opt-in or opt out of push notifications

1. Sign in to your account.

2. Select the child profile that you want to manage.

3. Click View Profile.

4. Under Parental App Notifications do the following:

   • To opt-in or opt-out of push notifications, move the On/Off switch to On or Off.

   • Choose the type of notification you want to receive. You can choose Critical Notifications, Other Notifications, or both.
